Programs for Bachelors in Naturopathic Medicine in Arizona

bachelors in naturopathic medicine in arizona

If you are interested in pursuing your ND in Arizona, the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences is an excellent institution. The school is located in beautiful Tempe, Arizona.

The main campus is located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Students of the naturopathic program will receive rigorous academic study as well as valuable clinical experiences.

Students will work with DOs and MDs in the field to treat patients in the community. As an added bonus, the Southwest College's Medical Center is completely "green," with natural carpets, non-toxic paints, and recycled materials.

Naturopathic Medicine Kidney Stones Treatments

naturopathic medicine kidney stones

Naturopathic medicine kidney stones treatments address the disorder as if it were related to diet instead of metabolic or hereditary factors. Naturopathic physicians believe that a healthy diet can help prevent the formation of stones and facilitate their passage.

Remember not to begin kidney stone treatment until you've consulted with a physician. One of the most important things is to consume a whole-foods diet after you've been diagnosed.

A whole-foods diet contains large amounts of fruits, leafy vegetables, legumes, whole grains, and modest portions of poultry and fish. Naturopathic doctors also usually recommend eating foods with large amounts of magnesium, such as oats, bananas, and brown rice.

Proper hydration is essential as well. Make sure you drink at least half of your weight in ounces of water every day. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, you would need to drink at least 75 ounces of water.

md or do that practice naturopathic medicine

Are you looking for an MD or DO that practice naturopathic medicine in your area? If so, you can run a search for naturopathic doctors in your area on Naturopathic.org.

The site is maintained by the AANP, or the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. On the home page, you'll see a place to input your ZIP code to find a naturopathic doctor near you.

For each listing, you'll see the doctor's name, credentials, address, phone number, and sometimes even his/her email address. If the doctor has a website, the AANP will also provide you with the URL.

The search tool even tells you how many miles the doctor's office is from your location. With some doctors, there is also a "map" tool to help you find your way to the physician's office.

What Is Naturopathic Medicine?

naturopathic medicine

Naturopathic medicine treats patients with the belief that the body has an inherent ability to heal on its own. Physicians who study this field of medicine are known as NDs, or naturopathic doctors.

These doctors encourage patients to use exercise, proper diet, changes in lifestyle, and other natural therapies to improve the body's ability to heal itself. NDs design treatment plans using current medical science as well as natural treatments.

The goal of a naturopathic treatment plan is to restore health and treat disease. Naturopathic physicians believe that with the right assistance, the body can help restore itself.

The largest advocacy group for naturopathy in the U.S. is the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Their site can be found at naturopathic.org for more information on their approach to wellness and health.
